The preservation of the beautiful nature in the Pitztal valley is very important to us. Because this is the place we call home, and this is the place we want to show our guests in all its beauty. The Pitztal is part of the Kaunergrat Nature Park and provides a great variety of flora and fauna, that truly deserves to be protected. From dry grasslands to the natural forest reserve and the sensitive glacier ecology, the region is home for us and for thousands of animals and plants.
At the entrance to the Pitztal you find the Pitzeklamm in Arzl – a Natura 2000 area and natural forest reserve. A hiking tour along the cool canyon is a wonderful refreshment on hot summer days. On the Piller you explore the unique flora and fauna of the moorlands and enjoy the great view from the tower. Glacier experiences and High Alpine challenges are waiting for adventurers – on the Wildspitze and the Pitztal glacier.
Staying at Hotel Bergland means feeling happy and satisfied. We pamper you with specialities from the region, from morning until evening, from breakfast to four-course dinner. And of course, a visit to the Almsauna is included as well.
